Who we are

Nigel founded Vision ICT with Daniel in 2000 after a long career in education at a senior level. He has also been an advisor to the National Youth Agency and the Home Office on youth volunteering and worked as an independent project management consultant working across the Voluntary Sector.

He’s heavily involved in the work of the Federation of Small Businesses providing support and guidance at local and county levels. He formed the Exeter Children’s Diabetic Group which still going strong 28 years later as ‘The Snack Pack’ and another charity the Family Education Development Trust and raised over £750,000 pounds to support projects.

As a Liverpool fan, he didn’t miss a home game at Anfield during the 3 years he lived and worked in the area. He now has to watch from afar in Exeter. Nigel now enjoys relaxing in the sun in Almerimar, Spain whenever the chance arrives!

Daniel’s worked in IT for more than 20 years. Things have changed a lot in that time but he’s managed to acquire a great mix of development and user interface skills to ensure that the end product is as easy to use as possible.

As well as being a founding partner at Vision ICT, he’s also the Director of the Exeter Pound and the Vice-Chair of the Exeter Branch and the Devon Regional Committeeof the Federation of Small Businesses and sits on the Devon Regional Committee.

In addition to coding for a living, Daniel used to own a Steak and Lobster bar and restaurant and is an event and macro photographer in his spare time.

Maggie is Sales and Training Director and the third founder with Nigel and Daniel.

She also had a long career in education working with children with special needs and serving as a school governor. She’s an excellent people person and loves working with and training our clients.

When she’s not doing that she loves gardening and growing her own vegetables. When not in the garden she enjoys socialising and she really is good at organising!

She started off her career as a fashion designer working in London but hated the city life and headed back to the SW.

Paul’s been a Graphic Designer for more than 30 years. His work can be found at a number of agencies in London in all areas from print to digital to presentations. He works alone or in a team, just as long as the job gets done.

Paul’s quite hands on as well: not content with renovating one house, he’s close to finishing a second. He still finds time to explore Dartmoor with his wife Lisa and the dog, Max.

Interesting fact: if you look closely, he can be found in Queen’s “I Want To Break Free” video.

With over 20 years experience in IT, Marten is our technical trouble shooter. He’s seen practically every problem there is at one stage or other. With a keen eye for detail, he’ll help you get the look of your site just right.

He also uses plain, simple language and is not one of those specialists prone to technobabble just to prove to you how much they know. On the contrary, he likes you to understand what he’s saying!

He was once a croupier at a casino in Portsmouth and is also a member of Mensa.

Julie is in charge of Vision Responsive’s PR and social media, with a degree in Business Management and an HND in Business Marketing.

Julie is also by trade a professional photographer and holds a licentiate qualification with the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers and will capture the essence of what you do and portray you in the best possible light.

Her role means she gets on with people easily and has to think sometimes on her feet!

She’s also a brown belt in American Kenpo and has been practicing for five years. Next stop, the black belt!
